University of Tennessee Lupton Library
Large-scale projects, like the reroofing of University of Tennessee's Lupton Library in Chattanooga, Tennessee, require a lot of manpower, time and materials. Porter Roofing cut down installation time of the roof by approximately 30 percent by using USG Securock® Brand Gypsum-Fiber Roof Board.
USG Securock® Brand Gypsum-Fiber Roof Board offers superior mold and moisture resistance, which made it a great choice for the project, and the installers were thrilled with how easy the product was to install. USG Securock® Brand Gypsum-Fiber Roof Board has a low surface water absorption rate, which meant that it required less adhesive. Unlike typical fiberglass-faced panels, USG Securock® Brand Gypsum-Fiber Roof Board has no fiberglass facer to delaminate and the roof board's uniform composition did not splinter off and/or irritate installers' skin.
