Her leadership extends across an extensive portfolio of business functions, including customer service, sales operations, marketing, digital platforms and customer software. With a collaborative approach, she empowers her team to deliver on USG's commitment to customer satisfaction.
Barbara-Maria's career began in management consulting, where she honed her skills advising international manufacturing companies and government institutions. Her decade-long tenure at the Knauf Group provided a breadth of experience, spanning marketing, digital, sales and service divisions. Through her strong leadership and ability to forge cross-functional partnerships, she consistently delivered impactful and lasting results.
Before joining USG, Barbara-Maria served as global head of Commercial Excellence and chief digital officer at Knauf's headquarters in Germany, where she was instrumental in establishing and implementing the company's commercial excellence and digital program. Her previous role as chief operating officer at Knauf Insulation North America showcased her ability to effectively lead and optimize diverse operational areas, including supply chain, customer service, strategy, HR and legal.
Barbara-Maria studied in Munich, Germany, where she earned a master’s degree in political science and law. Now residing in Chicago with her husband, she is passionate about mentoring and giving back to the community.
