Fernando Fernández brings more than two decades of experience in the construction industry to his role as general manager of USG LatAm, where he is responsible for driving growth, profitability and strategic direction for the company's operations in these regions.
Under Fernando’s leadership, the Mexican Center of Philanthropy has recognized USG Mexico as a Socially Responsible Company for eight consecutive years. This recognition speaks to Fernando’s commitment to being a good corporate citizen and making a positive impact in the communities where USG operates.
Fernando began his career at USG in 2007 as director of Marketing and Sales. Since then, he has held various leadership positions within USG, leveraging his marketing, sales and strategy expertise to deliver exceptional results.
Fernando holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and an MBA from IPADE Business School. He has completed post-graduate studies at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and more recently at the Corporate Leadership Center in Chicago.
Outside of work, Fernando is a devoted family man and sports enthusiast. He is married with two daughters, with whom he shares a passion for sports
